The San Angelo Art Club is hosting a Miniature Art & Christmas ornament Sale with works of multi-talented art club members. 10% of proceeds will go to Angelo State University art scholarship. Sneak preview takes place on November 4th at the Kendall Art Gallery, 119 West 1st Street from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm. The Show will run throughout the month. PLEASE CALL FOR SCHEDULE. Concho Christmas Community Tree Lighting
Located at the corner of South Chadbourne and Concho Avenue, the Christmas Community Tree lighting will take place. The event is free to the public. The ceremony begins at 6:00 pm with performances by the San Angelo Community Band, the Twin Mountain Tonesmen and Harmony Belles Chorus. The Lights of Christmas Parade follows in the downtown area.

Celebrating Chinese New Year is a tradition at the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts. Families can participate in hands-on art activities, which include shadow puppets, creating a good luck dragon, a gold fish kite and visitors will even be able to share a special New Year's wish. Visitors will also get to try some basic Tai Chi techniques demonstrated by local Tai Chi master, Steve Haidinger and others from Tai Chi Concho. Cycris Ho will be on hand demonstrating calligraphy and students from Goodfellow Air Force Base will be teaching some basic Chinese. December Christmas Expo - Second Saturday in the historic district (Old Town) celebrates all things Christmas. Old Town tour includes: 1800's bank building now Vino Dipinte. Camunez Grocery Store is now Seasons Change Designs. Tiny 1880's home is now Concho Exchange. The street will be closed off along the 500 block of Orient Street. There will be artists, designers, craft vendors and more showcasing goods down the middle of the street and on the surrounding areas. The Christmas EXPO is a boutique style outdoor shopping marketplace offering shoppers a mix of original and unique handmade gift items. Participating will be non-profit agencies, clubs, groups and organizations handing out free information. A DJ will play a mix of music, including many Christmas favorites.
