Artist of the Year Reception
The San Angelo Art Club will host "Artists' of the Year" reception at the Kendall Art Gallery, 119 West 1st Street. Club members bring art work to monthly meetings and four are chosen to be on display at local banks for the month. These monthly paintings are then in an annual show and one is chosen as the Artist of the Year. The public is invited to attend the opening. The show officially opens January 7 and runs through Sunday, January 25th. The gallery is open Saturdays from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm and Sunday 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm and also Wednesdays 9:00 am - 1:00 pm. Art Talk - "Historical Architectural Restoration"
John Hindman, owner of Red River Restorations in Austin, Texas, will present a talk on the art of restoring old buildings aat the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts, 1 Love Street. He and his staff are a group of wood workers, craftsmen and preservationists who specialize in restoring and fabricating wood screens, wood windows, entry doors and custom outbuildings for vintage structures.
